Iranian cinematographer Mehdi Azadi harvests the Golden Frog of the 2020 EnergaCAMERIMAGE filmfest in Poland.

Iranian cinematographer Mehdi Azadi has harvested the Golden Frog-Grand Prix of the 28th edition of the EnergaCAMERIMAGE International Film Festival in Poland.

Azadi won the prize for filming the documentary ‘A Horse Has More Blood than a Human’ directed by Abolfazl Talouni.

The documentary depicts an old couple who leave Tehran for their hometown located close to Iran-Turkey border.

Their dream of living in their hometown after retirement is ruined when they realize that their beloved destination has changed to an illegal gate for smuggling goods to Europe.

As stated on the official website of the Polish festival, “The International Film Festival of the Art of Cinematography EnergaCAMERIMAGE is the greatest and most recognized festival dedicated to the art of cinematography and its creators – cinematographers. EnergaCAMERIMAGE contributes to the growth of cinematographers’ prestige”.

The competing films are evaluated based on their visual, aesthetic and technical values.

The event provides the young filmmakers an opportunity to meet the recognized cineastes.

The 2020 edition of the event was held on November 14-21.
